To process an order, we will need a delivery address, credit card number & expiry date and any security details that the credit card processor may require. All card numbers are encrypted on disk with AES-256 using Stripe PCI service provider. This secures and protects your payment details. None of Stripe's internal servers and daemons are able to obtain plaintext card numbers but request that cards be sent to a service provider on a static whitelist. The infrastructure for storing, decrypting, and transmitting card numbers runs in a separate data center, and does not share any credentials with the primary services.
